THE LITTLE HOUSE WE CALL HOME

Welcome to our home! A Christ centered; heavenly minded; peaceful, happy, and of course lived in home! Make yourself comfortable!

After a couple of house tours, God landed us in this place! I thank Him.

Sitting on 0.28 acres, this 1213 Square feet house was built in 1982. Pretty small compared to the average American house size which is 2400 square feet; but it is the perfect size for us in this current season. I was looking for something bigger and "better"; but God knew exactly what I need and that's exactly what He gave me.

A three bedrooms; one bathroom house with a decent size open floor plan great room; a small kitchen; a pantry/laundry room; and a linen closet in the hall. I can say my son has enough space to run around; and best of all it is very manageable for me as a full-time working homemaker.

The flooring is carpet except for the bathroom which has vinyl planks and kitchen which has laminate. All fixtures are pretty much dated. From the popcorn sealing; to the metallic closet door (never seen them before); to the tiled shower wall; to the bathroom vanity and mirror; to the kitchen cabinets and counter tops. Everything besides the water heater is 1980s builder grade, but still functioning. So far; I've had to replace the HVAC in Sept 2024 and the PCV (pressure control valve) in June 2025.

Although I have hopes of doing some improvements; I continue to pray that everything stays put for now because the girl needs to build a strong emergency fund; you know; things happen and I want to be prepared.

On the outside; this little house has an attached storage room,  a large patio area, a large backyard with three mature trees.

At closing in August 2023; it came with only the electric range (new). Thank God He provided for all appliances: the washer, dryer; a refrigerator; and a microwave. I also got  counter height kitchen table  for extra working space. Soon after came new beddings, a new dining table (after the old one broke a leg from being constantly dragged around), a new TV stand, entryway table, and a new console table for the dining area which I'm learning to decorate; thanks to Pinterest.

The house is now a home; our home. It's sincerely our happy place. There's no place I'd rather be than in here loving and serving the people God has placed in my care and everyone else who walks in.
